Following the incidents in 2023, prosecutors launched an investigation. On Pentecost Saturday 2024, several guests of a bar in Kampen allegedly shouted racist slogans during the party hit "L'amour toujours," which led to investigations, including suspicion of incitement to hatred. A video of the incident went viral.
Prosecutors have since dropped their investigation against three of the four individuals involved. A 26-year-old is still facing a criminal charge.
Similar incidents involving the party hit "L'amour toujours" by Gigi D'Agostino have been reported in several federal states, not necessarily an isolated case in Sylt.
