Kansas City Festival Kicks Off This Weekend

Get ready for a fun-filled weekend as the Kansas City Festival returns for its 21st edition from August 29 to 31. This year, the festival promises a diverse lineup of events, activities, and performances across various stages and squares in the old town and city center.

The festival will officially begin on Friday, August 29, at 7 PM on the Schlossplatz. A new addition this year is the Youth Culture Stage, also known as the Trade-Islands Stage, at Schönborner Hof, Wermbachstraße 15. The artists who performed or were scheduled to perform on Thursday evening, August 29, on the new stage included Giorgia Angiuli, Barbara Preisinger, and Felix Mayer.

For families and children, there will be play and participate activities on the customer parking lot of the Sparkasse and on the Theaterplatz. On Saturday, Radio Galaxy will take over the Youth Culture Stage from 4 PM. On Sunday, the Youth Culture Stage will feature various singer-songwriters, DJs, and bands from 12 PM to around 10:30 PM.

The 20th Maulaffenfest will take place on Sunday, August 31, at the Hofgarten-Kabarett on Karlsplatz. This event, supported by the Congress and Tourism Office, will host more than 80 local and regional bands, orchestras, artists, and comedians.

A new event called 'Wein Time' will take place at Roßmarkt. This wine-themed event will feature winemakers and wine from several regions, including Dettelbach, Großostheim, Höhrstein, Michelbach, Baden, Pfalz, and Rheinhessen. Food and drink stalls will be available for attendees to enjoy.
