Exuberant Ships Parade Initiates Celebration of Hamburg Port's Anniversary - Vibrant Flotilla Unveils Hamburg's Port

Get ready for a heart-pounding, maritime extravaganza as over a million folks flock to the vibrant Volksfest Hamburg Harbor Birthday starting this coming Friday! The event stretches from Friday to Sunday evening, featuring an exciting lineup of ship viewings from across the globe, a jaw-dropping fireworks display, and scrumptious food stalls offering a variety of culinary delights.

The Michel warmly invites you to the opening ceremony at 11:00 AM. The entry parade, scheduled for 1:00 PM, will most certainly draw a massive crowd to the Elbe. The maritime family festival on the Michel meadows promises a day filled with fun and frolic, including the trademark tugboat ballet, fueled by tunes from this year's partner region, Burgenland.

Friday's debut will tremble with performances by vocalist Nina Chuba and musician Lotto King Karl, who aim to rekindle the charm of "Hamburg, my Pearl". Moreover, tantalizing glimpses of Broadway-style musical scenes from "MJ - The Michael Jackson Musical" will captivate the audience's hearts.

Similar to last year, a floating stage will be erected on the Elbe, nestled between harbor lights. On Saturday, pop sensation Johannes Oerding will regale us with two songs at the birthday gala. The evening will culminate in a grand fireworks display that is sure to leave spectators awestruck.
