Wedding Day Escapade
Get ready for a memorable elopement experience at the historic Fairchild Chapel at Oberlin College on November 1st, 2025! Here's a rundown of the special day's events.
The ceremony itself will last for a half-hour, with the processional and recessional each taking 5 minutes. A professional officiant will conduct the ceremony, or couples are welcome to bring their own. The ceremony will include vows, rings, pronouncement, and the kiss, lasting a total of 15 minutes. The chapel will be beautifully adorned in rich fall décor, perfectly complementing the bouquet provided by a local florist.
After the heartfelt ceremony, couples can take photos outside in the picturesque courtyard. A professional organist will be present to create a delightful ambiance during the post-ceremony celebration. After the photos, couples will be treated to a celebratory mini cake and sparkling beverage, and access to a photobooth will be provided for even more memories.
Each couple will have private time in an on-site wedding suite for preparation. The suite will be available for 15 minutes for getting dressed and adding final touches. Couples are expected to remove all items from the wedding suite after getting dressed, which should take 5-10 minutes. It will also take 5-10 minutes to gather wedding prep items into the wedding suite before the ceremony.
