Adapting Living Space and Engaging in Creative Activities with Tilly
Week spanning from 4-13-25, a Week Peppered with Three Minors
As the older children are temporarily absent, the family is making the most of their time together. For two weeks, a tent was set up in the living room as an impromptu sleeping area for the children. And oddly delightful was the sight of Andy using Tilly's mattress as a pillow.
Mud Kitchen Project with Tilly
In a creative spin, Tilly and the journalist transformed an old chair and barrel into a planter. Tilly planted dill, basil, rosemary, and lettuce in the container as part of her mud kitchen. Upon finishing the kitchen setup, she'll have some edible ingredients to include in her 'stone soup' and other dishes served at her make-believe restaurant.
Painting Venture with Tilly
The family recently attended a paint class at church, primarily designed for adult women. However, Tilly had a rehearsal prior to the event, so she joined the gathering and showcased exceptional painting skills, even outperforming the journalist.
Overhauling the Tool Shed
The family spent a considerable amount of time organizing and decluttering their tool shed. Through two sessions, they managed to throw away three bags of trash and sweeping the area meticulously. The new, tidy condition will surely surprise the older children upon their return, along with Thomas and Spencer.
Springtime Stroll and Photography
During one evening when the older children were engaged in activities, the journalist took a contemplative walk on the Greenway, taking advantage of personal time that had been scarce. The journalist typically uses this time for work, but given the circumstances, this brief respite was much-needed.
Springtime Photos Around the Property
The journalist captured beautiful imagery of the blooming property during their free time.
10-Day Vlog with Only Three Little Kids!
The journalist's recent vlog highlights creative activities, springtime insp spirits, and light-hearted moments spent with three little children.
Mud Kitchen Set-up and Edible Plants
A mud kitchen offers a sensory play area for children, engaging their minds, and encouraging imaginative play. To make the most of this play area, introduce edible plants like leafy greens, herbs, and berries, creating an engaging and educational experience.
Nature-based Play Elements and Benefits
Create natural cooking props using rocks and pine cones, offer water play for a more immersive experience, and incorporate sand, leaves, and flower petals for sensory exploration. This imaginative play area helps kids learn about sustainable practices, fosters creativity, and supports their sensory development.
