WGP Completes Eco-Friendly Multi-Family Residence in Passau
Wohnungs- und Grundstücksgesellschaft Passau GmbH (WGP) has completed a multi-family apartment building at Fritz-Gerstl-Straße 16, offering eight self-financed apartments. The building, constructed using eco-friendly wood-hybrid methods, meets the KFN energy standard and is equipped with sustainable features.
WGP has been actively building residential units across Passau since 2023. In Vornholzstraße and Spitalhofstraße, 40 apartments were created, along with three row houses in Hagenauer Straße and six in Birgmeierweg. Each apartment comes with access to a terrace or balcony, and parking spaces are available, including an underground garage.
The recently completed apartment building at Fritz-Gerstl-Straße 16 consists of eight apartments, totaling 717 square meters of living space. Four are two-room apartments, and four are three-room apartments. The construction cost approximately €3.5 million, with the foundation stone laid in May 2024 and the topping-out ceremony in November 2024.
WGP continues to construct residential units in various locations, including Zieglreuth, St. Johannis-Spital, and Frühlingstraße (24 apartments). The city of Passau supports these efforts, advocating for affordable building land for young families using the 'local model' in areas like Laimgrub II and Gǘtlbauerweg. The cold rent per square meter is €12.50, creating modern and affordable living space in the Laimgrub II development area.
WGP's completion of the multi-family apartment building at Fritz-Gerstl-Straße 16 demonstrates the company's commitment to providing sustainable and affordable housing in Passau. The city's support for inner development over outer development aligns with this goal, aiming to meet the increasing demand for living space.
