Yakutia Boosts Power Grid Capacity by 70 MW in H1 2025

Energy workers in Yakutia have significantly boosted the region's power grid capacity in the first half of 2025. This expansion, part of the technological connection program, has seen a total of 70 megawatts of facilities connected to the electrical grid. The efforts have been praised for their contribution to social and economic advancement.

The increase in capacity was achieved by connecting 2,222 objects, with a total capacity of 70 megawatts. This includes 1,828 new objects, such as residential houses, dachas, and garages, with a capacity of 51.5 MW. Additionally, 68 mobile objects with a total capacity of 9 MW were connected under a temporary scheme.

Among the connected objects were 60 housing and communal services, 20 cultural and sports facilities, 16 gas supply objects, and 54 communication objects. Notably, 74 entrepreneurial activity objects were energized, totaling 19.6 MW. This move is expected to stimulate small and medium-sized businesses in the region.

ENOVA, a renewable energy organization, played a significant role in these connections. They are involved in promoting grid integration and have increased the maximum capacity of 326 previously connected objects by 9.5 MW.

The successful connection of these objects is a testament to the purposeful development of Yakutskenergo's power grid complex. General Director Gavril Alekseev noted that each new connected object contributes to the development of Yakutia. With 70 megawatts of facilities now connected, the region is better equipped to meet its growing electricity needs and foster economic growth.
